Skincare Spotlight - 10/6/2009

Well, we've managed to survive Monday...and it's time for another Skincare Spotlight (happy, Kimberly?)

This week's item is a personal favorite of mine and a SERIOUS must-have:

NARS Aqua Gel Hydrator

This amazing jar of happiness is probably the best thing NARS has put out since their world-famous "Orgasm" blush. This product is a lightweight gel-cream mask, and is made up of approximately 87% water... not the nasty, heavy oils other hydrators offer. Here's the kicker - once you massage it into your skin, tiny molecules of water suspended in the gel-cream BURST! (not in a painful way), and release the water - SEALING it into your skin for the best moisturizing effects. When worn overnight, this hydrotreatment leaves skin looking smoth, luminous, and dewy. "I have sensitive/oily/semi acne-prone skin and this stuff does not break me out or irritate my skin. I use it once a week as an intensive overnight moisturizer and I wake up with beautiful, soft skin. But really, who else do you need to tell you to get it... Money's already suggested it. So those are kinda pointless, aren't they?

Either way, it's an amazing product, and should be highly considered. Properly hydrated skin requires less foundation, less products overall, and NOTHING will give you that perfectly fresh, radiant look like this little miracle in a jar.

Unfortunately, the problem with miracles - is they usually come with a pretty hefty price tag. This item retails at approximately $76.00 (http://www.sephora.com/) but has lasted me well over a year. Think of what you spend now, monthly, on moisturizers or skin care products that just don't work - and multiply it by 12. I'm guessing it's a wee bit more than this fail-proof product GUARANTEED by Sephora. If you don't like it, at ANY point in your use, whether it's the first try or the last drop in the bottle, you can bring it back (receipt or not) and exhange it for something else. Christmas is coming, after all... make it easier on your boyfriend/parents/friends, and spell it out for them. N-A-R-S!
